Health Minister to open ambulance station in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Monday

Kuwaiti Health Minister Hilal Al-Sayer will open tomorrow an ambulance station in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh donated by Kuwait Finance House (KFH).
Director of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at the Ministry of Health (MoH) Dr. Faisal Al-Ghanim told KUNA in a statement today that MoH will also open ambulance stations in al-Rumaithiya, al-Fahaheel, Hawalli, al-Salmiya, Al-Sabah health area. The MoH will also provide rescue services and emergency medical care, he added. He noted MoH is keen to provide services with high efficiency to reduce accidents and diseases, emergencies through state-of-the-art and sophisticated communications network. Al-Ghanim spoke highly of Al-Sayer interest in setting up centers that contribute to the development of emergency medical staff and expressed his sincere appreciation to KFH donation. The next phase will see an increase of cars and ambulance stations in various regions within the Ministry's plans to consolidate health sector in Kuwait, he added. MoH plans to establish new ambulance centers northern of Kuwait in al-Salmi, al-Subiyah Umm Al-aish and al-kabd areas, he noted. Figures and statistics state that at least one person dies in Kuwait due to car accidents, motorcycle and three to four injuries almost every day. |
