Blackberry service will not be stopped: Communication Ministry |

On the sidelines of the 19th Gulf Cooperation Council Ministerial Meeting for Post, Communication, and IT that was held Sunday morning, the Undersecretary for the Ministry of Communication, Abdul Mohsen Al-Mazeedi has confirmed to reporters that Blackberry's Messenger service will not be banned in the country , saying that "it is a distinguished service and spreading all over the world."
"The Canadian main service providing company, Research-In-Motion, is very cooperative with other providers around the world, and had installed special filter to sensor and blog pornographic websites," the undersecretary was quoted as saying. He added that the ministry "has no intention to block Blackberyy messenger service (bbm), which is a technology that can not technically be suspended, but we have to live with it and use it wisely." |
