Cartoons of Prophet could result in Facebook, YouTube ban |

A competition on Facebook, which has called on cartoonist to draw caricatures of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), resulted in a number of political activists and religious figures calling for an urgent meeting to formally condemn the publication and criticize Facebook and YouTube. This is despite the fact that the cartoonist Molly Norris decided to retract her competition plans.
Meanwhile, others are calling for only a one-day ban of the two sites to convey a symbolic but strong message of the indifference the two sites showed by running something which is known to be infuriating and confrontational to all Muslims. |
