Tips to clean your suede well.
1 Towel wipe: Suede is a difficult fabric to clean, and getting it dry-cleaned can get costly. So, if you want to clean it on your own, try doing so by rubbing suede gently with a bath towel at first. 2 Stain wise: To remove dry stains and marks from suede, try to gently rub a pencil eraser on the affected area. However, for a wet stain, lay a paper towel on top of it, so that it absorbs most of the liquid. Refrain from applying any kind of stain remover or other such products. suede3 Brush dirt aside: When brushing away a dry stain, always do so with a suede brush. Then, gently rub the surface of the shoe or the jacket or any other suede product with cloth, and allow it to air-dry. 4 Vinegar wipe: Apply a small amount of white vinegar to a lightly dampened cloth as a last resort for cleaning suede shoes or jackets if the stain is too tough. 5 Take professional help: Remember that stains on leather and suede should be professionally treated if the above-said ways don’t work. This is always the best option when in doubt. You never know how the leather was treated during the making of your fabric and what will happen if you try to clean it yourself. |
