Limits On Some Visit Visas … Residency
KUWAIT CITY, July 15: Temporary residence permits will be issued to expatriates whose passports are valid for less than one year, in order to reduce the number of violators and to give them time to renew their passports, reports Al-Rai daily quoting security sources. This step was taken after the process of linking duration of residence permits with validity of passports was launched. In a related issue, sources revealed that a decision has been taken to reduce the duration of visit visas for wives and children of expatriates to three months and for parents and siblings to one month. The visa holders have to enter the country within one month from the date the visa was issued; otherwise, the visa will be nullified. They explained that the law will not apply to those who applied for visit visas for their relatives prior to the issuance of this decision, which was implemented from Tuesday, July 14.
