Study to transfer visas under Code 71
KUWAIT: Deputy Director General of Manpower Public Authority Badriya Al-Mukaimi said work is going on to find a mechanism for workers who have spent more than 20 years in Kuwait, have families living in the country, and registered under companies suspended with code 71, to transfer their visas after two months. The department suspends companies with code 71 if they violate the labor law by bringing workers from abroad or hiring local labor without actually providing them with real jobs or proving their need for such laborers. This practice is commonly used by human traffickers to bring in workers to Kuwait. Mukaimi added that there is an additional study to allow those who have spent more than 20 years in the country to transfer even after the two months period expires, according to certain rules to be decided later. Al-Mukaimi also said that strict action will be done against violators of the law on summer working hours for laborers. Inspectors will tour during the day to catch violators. —Alrai Source:Kuwait times http://news.kuwaittimes.net/study-to-transfer-visas-under-code-71/ |
