Croker Range
The Crocker range is the tallest mountain range in Sabah. It divides the eastern and western coast of Sabah. It houses the
Crocker Range national park.
The Crocker range national park was formed in the year 1984. It has different varieties of flora and fauna. Primates like gibbons, Orangutans, the long tailed macaques, tarsier that are furry with big eyes are found in this national park.
Mt. Kinabulu
Mt.Kinabulu is preserved as Mt. Kinabulu national park and is declared as a world heritage site. The park has nearly 4500 species of plants, 326 bird species and 100 species of mammals. The park houses the Malayan weasels, black shrew, the leopard cat, Oriental Small-clawed Otter, Orangutans and the massive Raffleasia plants.
A visitor with good physical condition can easily climb the Low’s peak without the aid of any physical equipment.
