Seurasaari Open-Air Museum

The Seurasaari Open-Air Museum offers an insight into the Finnish living condition and their folk customs. The ancient buildings and their internal portions belonging to the 18th and the 19th century is converted and preserved as a museum. The structures for the museum are typically agrarian made up of wood. The Karuna church built in 1686 is considered as the most ancient structure inside the museum.


Presently you can see a total of 85 individual structures inside the museum .Some of the well known individual structures you can see are the Pertinotsa farmhouse, Niemelä tenant farm, Clothes and food stores, Farm windmill and the Anti farmstead

Opening hours

Normal visiting hours for the museum is from 9am to 5pm.

Tickets

For Adults, the ticket is 6€

For student and pensioner the ticket is 6€

Admission is free for kids under the age of 18 years.

How to get there

From Erottaja, you can board Bus 24 to the bridge’s end to Seurasaari or you can take tram 4 to reach Pikku-Huopalahti, from where it is just a 10minutes, walk to the museum.
