The birth of Tamilnadu Muslim Cultural Association, Kuwait, popularly known as TMCA has not come in a day or two or all of a sudden. During the year 1987, Muslim Educational and Cultural Association (MECA) was initialized.
It was then expanded adjoining Pondicherry with Tamilnadu and it was renamed as Tamilnadu Pondicherry Kalvi Kalaachara Peravai (Tamilnadu Pondicherry Educational and Cultural Association). It was functioning for two years successfully.
Since invasion took place the activities was suspended. The same Association rendered its best efforts to get UN Compensation Claims in Tamilnadu and Pondicherry during that time and after liberation most of us returned. After a long break, the same dignitaries derived, thought, planned at several times and at various levels – a final shape took place on 22nd September, 1995 in a grand call of our social dignitaries at then Building 44, Istiqlal Street, Kuwait City.
The name of the Association is agreed to have changed to read into Tamilnadu Muslim Cultural Association (TMCA), duly registered with Indian Embassy and now functioning with vast support. Among the esteemed foundation members, the following Eleven are being considered and declared as Custodian Committee as prescribed in its Constitution.
