Expatriates in Oman must clear traffic fines before flying: ROP
Muscat: Expatriates heading for summer holidays or for good, have to settle all the traffic fines violations, as the police have activated the traffic fines clearance at the airports and borders, according to a reliable source at the Royal Oman Police (ROP). The source said the new rule would come into effect from Sunday. The rule targets expatriate travelling temporarily or permanently. "There will be awareness campaign to spread awareness among public," added the source. The ROP stressed the importance of paying the fines before completing travel documents and ensure payment of all dues before leaving the Sultanate.
