New to Oman
Hi all,

Am currently working in Kuwait and got an offer from Salalah to work as seniour accountant w/ 800 OR Salary. is it avarage salary for this position and enuf to live w/small family. ie w/ one kid.

Appreciate your views

average house rent is around 200 to 250 Rial Omani per month
with that you can calculate your monthly expenses
In my opinion OR 800 is ok in oman

If somone is offering you 800 bucks oman. That is huge for an Accountant.

Hi,

in salalah the rent is much cheaper than muscat means in 150 to 200 OMR you can get 2 BHK flat. so 800 is very decent salary for salalah

Whatever be the salary but don't give any money to omani's No advance strictly , because these people are thieves they will run away with your money and if you go to the police they will put u in jail and support omani people. Even if u have to give money prefer to give money after the desired service is done.
