Oman Cricket Club, the sole governing body of Cricket in Oman, will move a step further up in its development programs when the Cricket grounds are prepared and made ready as per international standards very soon in the Wilayat of Amerat. Mr. Pankaj Khimji, the newly appointed member of the Asian Cricket Council, announced in the annual prize distribution event on 16th Oct at the Al Falaj Hotel that the work has already started for the preparation of the grounds with facilities for dressing rooms for the players.
Oman Cricket Club is also striving to build a new Cricket Academy at the Sultan Qaboos Stadium for the development of Cricket in Oman with a likely ground area of 5000 sq mts. Hopefully, with the completion of these two new ventures, Oman would be able to move up from its current ranking of 3 in Asia and 21 in the world in the years to come. The whole cricket loving fraternity of Oman wishes Oman Cricket Club the very best and all successes in its endeavours. |
