Emirates ID reopens seven customer centers after renovation

Emirates ID revealed that the capacity of the renovated centers in total was well over 2,500 customers per day.

The Emirates Identity Authority has reopened its seven customer services centers annexed to Preventive Medicine Centres, which were temporarily closed in November last year for renovation to enhance the standards and quality of services at all levels and ensuring higher levels of customer satisfaction.

The centres were closed for renovation in line with the standards of the UAE Programme for Excellent Government Service and for reaching ‘seven star’ levels, thereby turning them into ‘smart’ centres. The centres now reopened are located in Al Ghubaibah and Al Nasiriya in Sharjah, the centres in Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, Al Jazeerah Club in Abu Dhabi and Muhaisina in Dubai, a statement from the authority said today.

Emirates ID revealed that the capacity of the renovated centres in total was well over 2,500 customers per day. This is a result of the number of registration lines in each centre being increased as follows: Al Ghubaibah 8, Al Nasiriya 5, Ajman 9, Ras Al Khaimah 10, Fujairah 7, Al Jazeerah Club 9 and Muhaisina 23. A registration line denotes the entire staff and equipment required to complete a transaction, ranging from submission of papers to finger-printing and other procedures.

The work hours in the newly reopened centres are as follows: 8am to 8pm in Al Nasiriya and Al Ghubaibah; 7.30am to 2.30pm in Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Al Jazeerah Club; 7.30am to 2pm in Fujairah and round the clock during week days and from 8am to 8pm on Saturdays in Al Muhaisina.

Emirates ID said it was possible for the public to get location details and phone numbers via Google Maps on the Authority’s website.

There are 52 Emirates ID’s customer services centres located across the country, with a cumulative capacity of 18,000 transactions per day. Of these, around 23 are annexed to Preventive Medicine Centres. The centres provide many facilities to the customers, such as children’s corner, knowledge corner, prayer rooms, coffee shops, and Wi-Fi.
