The Model School, Abu Dhabi
The Model School, Abu Dhabi started functioning in April, 1987, as branch of N.I Model school, Dubai, under the chairmanship of Dr. M.K. Kamaluddin. The school follows CBSE syllabus till Std.VII and Kerala Syllabus from Std.VIII to XII.

Features
Classes are held in the spacious buildings in Abu Dhabi and Musaffah. The school has good play grounds, well equipped laboratories, library and other facilities to provide an atmosphere conducive for learning. Regular periods for sports and physical training is provided in the timetable. Coaching is given under the supervision of qualified coaches and physical training teachers for basket ball, Volleyball, shuttlecock and table tennis. Literary competitions, debates, quiz competition, mass drill, home management (for girls only) etc are conducted.

Special ‘Deeniyat’, ‘Tajweed’ and Hifz E Qur’an’ classes are conducted for Muslim students in addition to the Islamic Education and Qur’an classes of the regular school hours.

The primary aim of this institution was to start a good educational institution to impart education to children on national lines and in consonance with the time spirit, synthesizing the feature of the ancient systems with the progressive trends of modern times, catering to the needs of Indian expatriates in Abu Dhabi.

The school promotes better understanding among children belonging to different communities, at an early age and aims to help children achieve all round development by providing training for the mind, physical fitness, leadership qualities and so on.

The all round development of the child is catered through indoor and out-door activities. The children are urged to participate in various activities and programmes of the school. This provides an opportunity to identify the inherent talents in the children and to lead the younger generation into the future through methodical dissemination of scientific knowledge.

Leadership qualities are identified and developed from lower class onwards and when the children leave the school, they are equipped to face the challenges of the outside world. Maximum care is taken to create an atmosphere of ‘a home away from home’. Utmost chances are provided to understand, accept and respect each other and hence students of different backgrounds learn to coexist in harmony and friendship.
