A blessing given is a blessing received

Posted 01 Apr 2015 by JITLEO

When I got to Lulu Hypermarket, I was walking through a doorway, and one of the janitors stopped me and said, “Sir, you look very smart and handsome in T-shirt” I stopped walking to talk to him for a few minutes as he admired it and told me how smart I am in T-shirt. I was feeling a bit under the weather and did not feel as though I looked my best. However, what he said to me made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I am short, brownish and not good looking but his innocent words made some changes in me.

I recalled many mornings that he has spoken to me with a smile and then remembered something that I learned from my experience. “You only give to others things that you would want to have.” As this thought ran through my mind, next day I packed the T-shirt and gave him. He hesitated to accept but he hadn’t any choice than to accept as I insisted him.

As I walked off, I told him that a blessing given is a blessing received.
