BiaÅ‚owieża Forest also called as Belovezhskaya Pushcha is a renowned tourist attraction in Poland. This antique forest spans the margins amid two nations –Poland and Belarus. It is situated 43miles (70km) to the northern direction of Brest (Belarus) and 39 miles (62km) to the south eastern direction of Bialystok (Poland). The forest has been declared by UNESCO as a world heritage site. At BiaÅ‚owieża Forest, you can see the winsent, the globe's heaviest land animals in close quarters.


The forest boasts of having 800 Wisents. These sturdy animals are kept in separate areas guarded by a safety fence. Apart from the Wisents you can also see other small animals like deer, wild boar, moose etc. The forest is also rich in flora with rare species of trees. You can find a several Quercus robur (ancient pedunculate oaks).At breast height, the trunk perimeter of these trees measures about 51inches (130cm) above the earth. You will come to know that some of the trees are named individually like Great Mamamuszi, The King of Nieznanowo, Dominator Oak, Barrel Oak, etc.
