The Maria Luisa Park was the venue for the 1929 world fair. Renowned French landscape architect, Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier designed the park.
Plaza de España is a big half circle complex with structures running persistently about the periphery reachable by various bridges. At Plaza de España you can industry and technology displays of Spain. In the centre of the complex, you can find a beautiful fountain.
You can find several alcoves on the walls. These niches are made of tiles and denote the various provinces of Spain.
The place is also a well-known shooting spot. Some of the most famous Hollywood films like Lawrence of Arabica, Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones was shot here.
