The following documents must be provided for exchange of your foreign license in Portugal

Identity proof: Passaporte (Passport) with appropriate Estudo/Estada Temporária (study permit) or Visto do trabalho (work permit), or Cartão de Residênçia (residence permit), or Bilhete de Identidade (identity card).

Address Proof: Rental contract or Banks and utility bill statements

Your driving license should be valid. Expert translations are required for driving license, which are not in Portuguese language.

Students need to show their learner status for a minimum period of 6 months

No limitation or no suspension evidence on your current license.

Atestado do Medico (Medical forms) of 922 or 911

2 Similar color photographs of 3.5 X 2.5 cm in size, your name clearly displayed one the reverse side.

All documents’ photocopies and Declaração (a signed affirmation) from the consulate or embassy that the submitted original documents are authentic.
