The Jagiellonian quarters
Initially these rooms served as the dwelling place for the Polish king Sigismund Augustus. Presently, you will find these rooms housing several beautiful paintings belonging to the Jagiellon dynasty.
The Houses of Parliament
The Houses of Parliament was the origination for the democracy of Poland. It was here that the constitutional amendments for the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth were written. Likewise you will come to know that it was in these three rooms, during the1652 deluge, the liberum veto (free vote) was launched.
The Royal Apartments
The Grand Duke of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the last king Stanisław August Poniatowski resided in the Royal Apartments. You will find here a number of paintings on the city of Warsaw kept on display.
Lanckoroński Collection
You can also take a look at the LanckoroÅ„ski Collection, which comprises of two paintings “The Jewish bride” and “The father of the Jewish bride”, done by renowned Dutch painter Rembrandt.
Opening hours
On Tuesdays to Saturdays, from 9.50 to 17.00
On Sundays, from 10.50 to 17.00.
The Royal castle remains closed on Mondays, on New-year and on December 25th.
