The foreign nationals are issued with three different kinds of visa by the Malaysian Government.

Single entry visa

This type of visa is given to the foreigners, who come on a social visit to Malaysia.This is valid for single entry up to a time period of three months from the issuing date.

Multiple entry visas

This type of visa is given to the foreign nationals, who come to Malaysia on business purposes or on matters regarding government to government. This visa is generally valid for a time period ranging from three months up to twelve months from the issuing date.

Citizens from India and China are entitled to apply for multiple visa when the wish to come to Malaysia on social visit.
The Multiple entry visas’ validity period is for one year.The extension of stay is not permitted and every entry is only for 30 days.

The conditions required for multiple entry visas are

Proof of having sufficient funds should be shown by the applicant to the concerned authorities.

Original and return ticket should be possessed by the applicant.

Tourists in groups are not entitled to multiple entry pass.

For the Indians citizens, the multiple entry visa costs RM100.00 and for the citizens from china it costs RM30.00

Transit visas

The foreign national who wish to enter Malaysia on transit to other nations can make use of this transit visa. The transit visa is not required for foreign nationals who come to Malaysia by fight and they do not leave the airport premises and carry on their journey in the same flight to the next destination. .
