The Langwaki underwater world was opened in the year 1996. At present it houses y 500 marine species in 100 tanks. The esteemed tourism Malaysia award for the year 1996/97 was won by Langwaki Underwater world after being voted as the best man made tourist attraction of Malaysia.

The Langwaki underwater world is situated in Pantai Centang and it is 6.2 acre water world. It is regarded ad one of the biggest freshwater marine park with nearly 5000 fish species on exhibit. Nearly 6 million liters of sea water are filled in the hexagonal shaped tank. The tank has a walk through tunnel.

Sharks, turtles, stingrays and other variety of aquatic species are present in the marine park another attractive feature that makes you spellbound is the stunning corals. A waterfall with a cave forms part of the setting. A separate enclosure was opened by the former Malaysian prime minister Tun Dr.Mahatir Mohammed. It was his brainchild which he got inspired when he was on a visit to the Antarctica.

Admission fees

An entry fess of RM 28 is collected for an individual. On all week days the park is opened from morning 10 AM to evening 6PM.
