The Neues Museum is situated on the Museum Island in Berlin, the capital city of Germany, to the north side of the Altes Museum (old museum). The Museum was constructed by the Friedrich August Stüler, a well-known Prussian builder and architect.
In the year 1855, the museum was completed. Due to fear of air strikes, the Nazis closed the museum on 1939.The museum was badly ruined in the war. Later after separation of Germany, the East Germans did not have enough funds to restore the museum. British architect David Chipper field restored the Museum in 2009.
The museum has exotic collections on display. The Egyptian displays are a real treat to the eyes. The Egyptian museum located inside the Neues has the renowned bust of Queen Nefertiti
