The 300 year old Anglo Arabic institution in New Delhi has created history by providing admission for girls’ students for the first time. Intially, the institution functioned around 1692 as Madrasa Ghaziuddin .Till now the school functioned as all boys’ institution.

In a noteworthy progress, the school’s management committee in a meeting conducted on March 26, made a decision to allow the girls to get enrolled into the institution. However this decision was not favoured by the staffs of the institution, which comprised of mostly males, and it appears during that time, the decision was not implemented.

Fatima Alvi filed an MPhil student from JNU field a PIL. The police and the Delhi court was asked to ensure that the decision of the managing committee is implemented.
