The Seongsan Sunrise Peak is a magnificent volcanic crater formed by Hydro volcanic eruptions, some 5000 years back, on the Jeju isle.

The place has been declared as a UNESCO world heritage site. The peak is renowned for several things, it is well-known for the wonderful view of the sun rising above it, and therefore it derives its name.

You can scale the northwest ridge of the peak (the other sides of the peak are sharp) to the 180meter high summit. It takes only a thirty minute journey.

You will find the climate as a worthy one, as you will have a grand and incredible sight of the crater. You can feel the fresh air and wonder at the spectacular sight. You will find the crater managing over the horizon and enormous oceans.
